Our Story
The Twisted Anchor Grill & Patio was founded with the vision of creating a community hub where locals and visitors alike can enjoy great food, refreshing drinks, and live local music. As one of the top restaurants on the water at Lake Texoma, we’ve revitalized our space under new ownership. We are committed to providing a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Meet Josh
For a long time, Josh has dreamed of owning a restaurant on the lake, specifically on Lake Texoma.
In 1989, Josh’s family began visiting Buncombe Creek every weekend. He wasn’t even allowed to participate in youth sports because they knew their weekends were filled with striper fishing and lake time. During that time, the lake house was just two rows over from the restaurant, so it has always been a landmark for their family and community.
In 1995, Josh and family moved to Buncombe full-time. Josh picked up a job at the restaurant as a dishwasher, and his family ate there often. Over the last couple of decades, Josh has seen the ownership change several times.
In 2005, Josh graduated from Kingston, Oklahoma and began his career in the water infrastructure industry. However, the waters of Lake Texoma were calling him back. So, in 2010, Josh moved back to Oklahoma City to pursue a business opportunity as a Utility Contractor. The business flourished and allowed Josh to bring his lakefront restaurant dreams to life.
Now Twisted Anchor serves Oklahomans and tourists alike, giving them a taste of the lake life Josh is so fond of as well as delicious food and top-notch service.
Twisted Anchor is a destination spot, known for our service, quality, and atmosphere. We also love working within our community, looking for ways to give back, whether it’s to our fire departments, children, elderly, schools, or anyone else in the community who is in need.
Twisted Anchor is about more than just good food (and it IS good). It’s also about putting good back into our community.
